Automating operational efficiency

ARA Robotics manufactures drones with innovative aerial robotics solutions that automate daily tasks and optimize operational efficiency. Their turnkey solutions are used by companies operating in industries as diverse as mining, defense and aerospace.

ARA Robotics's lineup includes ODAS®, a solution for the mining industry, RECON RPAS, a solution for the defense and security sector and SKYMATE™, a flight controller for aerospace.

Real-time surveying

ARA Robotics has developed a revolutionary solution that automates mapping and surveying processes. Used in various environments such as construction and mining sites, its technology relies on the use of intelligent drones deployed on industrial sites to provide real-time field data.

The data collected, primarily in the form of high-resolution photographs, is processed through sophisticated algorithms to create high-precision 2D and 3D synthetic models. Once processed, this data is made available through an online portal, facilitating the download of reports and providing advanced capabilities for viewing and manipulating models and metadata, such as measurements and volume calculation. All of this data is a source of valued business intelligence that helps evaluate processes over time.

Wanting to expand the application of ODAS, particularly in the mining sector, ARA Robotics collaborated with different partners, such as Aéro Montréal, Innovitech, 48e Nord International, and the Créneau d’excellence sur les drones civils et commerciaux.

A technology that meets the challenges of the industrial sector

Labour shortage

Thanks to advanced automation features, ODAS eliminates the need for a trained operator on site for each flight. This innovation makes the use of drones more accessible in various industrial sectors, including those who previously lacked specific drone expertise.

Drone complexity and maintenance

ODAS simplifies complexity and maintenance management with an integrated system that provides automatic tracking and validation of critical subsystems, such as avionics, propulsion, and batteries.

Strict regulations

The operation of drones in complex environments, above people and out of visual range remains highly regulated, with operations requiring exhaustive approval requests from the authorities.

Aerial data processing

The processing of data obtained through aerial inspection is complex and requires specific infrastructure and expertise to be used to its full potential.

Technological dependence

Drone aerial inspection service providers typically do not have control over the technology they use, which means they are dependent on technology providers. ARA Robotics stands out by designing and manufacturing its own drones in Montreal, guaranteeing complete control of the technology.
